THE STARTUP NATION AND ITS RESPONSE TO COVID-19

With a full room, with attendance of people from 22 countries, Nōmada Impact hosted a webinar to learn about Israel’s tech ecosystem approach to finding innovative solutions in the fight against COVID-19.

Wendy Singer, Executive Director, Start-Up Nation Central (SNC, the Israeli non-profit organization that tracks the local innovation ecosystem) and Yoav Barlev, Strategic Partnerships Manager, shared their knowledge and insights on Israel’s approach to finding innovative solutions to combat #COVID19.

Among the useful info, they presented the Map of Israeli #HealthTech companies countering COVID-19. More than 80 Israeli companies are actively working on wide ranging solutions; their expertise range from remote monitoring, diagnostics and decision support, to protection and prevention, and addressing social and mental health aspects of the virus.

Israel offers governments around the world
immediate and free access to artificial intelligence and mobile technologies to help fight COVID-19. Among them, Diagnostic Robotics provides an AI-based diagnostic solution that helps remotely screen communities and create a national epidemic heat map, predict the spread of the virus and ease the pressure on medical team. Government app “HaMagen”(The Shield) alerts users who have crossed paths with infected individuals.
